100 Women of McIntosh is a coalition of like-minded women with a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of fellow citizens of McIntosh County.

While attending a WES ( Women Encouraging Success) event at Sapelo Hammock Golf Course the group was introduced to Coastal Communities of Georgia Foundation. The speaker spoke about giving circles in other communities who make huge contributions by meeting and donating funds to local charities. From that meeting several of us volunteered to seek information about how to form our own charity organization to support McIntosh County. We became a steering committee who collaborated by sharing our knowledge and expertise for a common goal, to make money available for our community.

Our county is uniquely blessed with barrier islands, rivers, marshes and bluffs. McIntosh county is essential to George’s coastal economic system. What makes us unique and special also separates us into smaller communities. Each community has wonderful opportunities and resources in the women who live here. A connection is all we needed. We as individuals may we seek out ways to help others, but together as a giving circle, our individual contributions become a much bigger movement.

We became 100 Women of McIntosh in January of 2025. We have become an opportunity, a friend, a connection for local charities, churches, and municipalities in our county to grow and thrive or to meet their current goals and needs. Please join us, you will be so happy you did!
